  • he includes make believe
  • he changes stuff into other things e.g., putting peoples faces on hot hair balloons
  • he used some interesting materials such as ink, acrylic paint, pencil, charcoal and wash
  • his pictures and drawings told stories
  • his work included lots of detail
  • he created alphabet letter that told a story
  • he drew famous people in random places
  • his art work was very neat and tidy
  • it was clever and funny
  • his sculptures were amazing
  • he includes hidden pictures
  • he was colour blind!

Probability games

In week three, room 6 made probability games. To do that we talked about what probability means. First we had to brainstorm ideas in our maths books, some people in pairs and some by themselves. We could use a dice or a coin. After Miss Bankers checked that our games worked and we were happy with them we could make our published games. Once they were published,we shared them with room 5. We had three rotations.

Some of the games were:

  • Mouse and cat
  • The twisted jungle of doom
  • Animal run
  • Cats and mouse
  • Rabbit and turtle
  • Heads, evens, tails and odds.

Tin can art

A few weeks ago our class made tin can art. This is how to make tin can art, you will need:
  • 1 tin can
  • orange acrylic paint
  • paint
  1. Draw a plan.
  2. Squash the can so one side is flat.
  3. Paint the can with acrylic paint.
  4. Make a second layer if you want to.
  5. LIGHTLY draw your plan onto the tin can.
  6. Paint your can piece by piece.
  7. Let it dry.
  8. Go around the drawing with black paint.
The hardest part for us was tracing around the picture in black.

The most fun thing was painting the tin can.

Pirate Lavender came to Charlotte's house

Pirate Lavender came to my house. In the morning she ate pancakes and sticky maple syrup for breakfast. Then she had a ride on my bunny Violot's back .  Brave Pirate Lavender swam with snakes and swung on the bar on my bed.  Then she had some quiet time to read Naomi the Netball Fairy by Daisy Meadows .
